ANNE BOWEN BRIDAL COLLECTION: Of The Gods

The ANNE BOWEN BRIDAL fashion show was presented on October 17 at the Eventi Hotel, NYC. The collection is inspired by Welsh Goddesses, and Anne Bowen titled it “Of The Gods” to represent the ethereal quality of the gowns.
Layers upon layers of tulle, silk organza and silk satin chiffon created a celestial feeling. Welsh Goddess names like Tamara, Goddess of Rivers, Serona, Goddess of Healing and Don, Goddess of the Heavens exuded the sheer lightness of the collection. The silhouettes became an abstract study of shape and texture creating the essence and image of a modern goddess.
The hair and makeup Anne Bowen chose for the runway is a dark, dramatic eye of charred brown mixed with Tyrian Purple otherwise known as Imperial Purple and a soft, blush lip. Pitch from Warren Tricomi Salon created smooth, unfettered hair adding a retro-modern touch of glamour and bringing focus to eyes and skin.
The flowers for the show were soft, over-sized white garden roses by Mela Rosa who designed the bouquets as well using Gardenias, the favorite flower of Anne Bowen’s mother.
