Modern Glam Hairstyles On The Son Jung Wan Spring 2019 Catwalk
Runway hairstylist Jorge Luis styled eye-catching, creative and modern looks for the Son Jung Wan Spring/Summer 2019 Runway Collection. The key: using the new professional Tri-Plex Fusion technology StyleCraft hairdryer and a unique StyleCraft Shmedium compact flat iron to naturally boost gloss and shine, stop frizz and treat hair at the same time.
Styles were flat, chic and sleek – light-looking without stiffness or weight – a unique hybrid of rounded and linear lines. “This is always one of my favorite shows, and for this season I loved the modern glamour paired with the inspiration of the exaggerated silhouettes of eras past,” said Luis.
“As a counterpoint, we designed strong, directional hair. The texture is as smooth and soft as the fabrics, lightly gelled without looking heavy, with deep, curved, side and top parted bangs. We then split open the rounded bangs for a touch of retro. To finish, we swirled side parts down and around the head and up to encircle ponytails with twists of hair, to soften their straightness with sculptural movement.”

“The key technique? Starting mid-head, we flat-ironed hair at vertical angles instead of horizontal and down. This gave the pony a bit more substance, especially for fine-haired models. To finish, we ironed the ends down.”
How to Do The Look:
- Create a deep left side part.
- Blow dry with StyleCraft Tri-Plex 3000 Hairdryer using a large round brush.
- Flat iron hair in large vertical sections with StyleCraft Shmedium Travel Iron.
- Section hair across top of head for deep bangs.
- Comb a small amount of gel through hair – from crown to nape.
- Sweep bangs to the side, shape and round, separate slightly with tip of comb to make slits.
- Tie the ponytail. Then sweep side-parted hair down and around side of head and back up and around to the top of the pony. Twist and weave around elastic. Secure with hairpin.
- Straighten, smooth, and defrizz the ends of the ponytail with StyleCraft Shmedium Travel Iron to finish.

Many of our customers have asked us how they can download fashion show videos from our website and play them in a continuous loop on their TV screens.
Here are our suggestions:
First, visit the VIDCAT Fashion Videos Download Store and purchase the fashion show videos you would like to play on your TV. After payment you will receive a receipt with the download links for your videos. Download the videos to your PC or MAC and copy them over to a USB Drive.
Most people would prefer to copy the videos to a USB stick drive and place the drive into the USB slot of their TV. They can then navigate to the USB connection on their TV and watch the videos. BUT, the USB playback on most TVs will only play one video program at a time and not play all the videos in a playlist or folder and the videos will not loop/repeat after the last video plays.
Note: Some Samsung TV models do have the repeat/loop function built into their Media Center.
Either way, I would not suggest plugging the USB stick drive directly into the TV… the drive will be using power from the TV and can cause the TV to suddenly go to “sleep” from lack of power.
Instead, we recommend using a Media Player which plays back videos from a USB stick drive. *This is not a Streaming Media Player which downloads videos from the internet, but rather a Media Player which plays videos from a USB drive. You simply insert the USB Stick Drive loaded with videos into the Media Player and connect the Media Player to your TV with an HDMI cable.
We tested this Media Player for the following qualities we know you will need to play our beautiful HD fashion videos in your establishment:

Chocheng Fashion Show Inspired By 1950s Film
The Chocheng spring 2018 collection is inspired by the 1957 film, Witness for the Prosecution, starring Marlene Dietrich and the glamour and femininity as exemplified by her personal wardrobe during the golden age of Haute Couture from 1947-1957. Comprised mainly of separates and knits, the collection features a seductively fitted silhouette — jackets and dresses with nipped-in waists and padded shoulders are structured in supple cotton bouclé and finely heathered tweeds of cotton and linen, with touches of embroidered silk lace and signature handmade petals and fans as embellishment.
Striped cotton sweaters are layered to enhance the classic tailoring with nonchalant modernity. Braided knit cardigans and neatly cropped jackets are paired with demure knee-length skirts and shorts, softened with touches of silk crepe.
The collection is rendered in vivid shades of rose, lavender, violet and red. Hand embroideries with natural glass beads impart drama and mystery, with a whimsical touch.

American artist Rachel Hayes inspired the new Missoni Summer 2018 Campaign, conceived by Angela Missoni and shot by star fashion photographer Harley Weir.
Top model Kendall Jenner appears sinuous and graceful; resonating an exotic mystique and sophisticated glamour. Her face is hidden by an extra-large Missoni hat with a fluidly-draped brim dripping with concentric stripes… as though it was an umbrella grazing her shoulder and shielding her from the searing New Mexico sun.

New JASON WU x FILA Sports Collection
FILA collaborated with Jason Wu, a famous Chinese-American designer, to launch a new JASON WU x FILA sports collection. To celebrate the latest line, a grand fashion show was held in Beijing 798. Jason Wu’s latest collection seamlessly combines vibrant colors and geometric patterns to highlight the elegance of high-end sportswear.
In addition to creating brand new designs for the Jason Wu x FILA SS2017 collection, Jason Wu personally provided creative ideas for the fashion show in Beijing. The show combined grass and wood with marble and concrete, yielding a unique cross-border inspiration and creating a fashion space that was both raw and refined.
Mod New York: Fashion Takes A Trip
The Museum Of the City Of New York showcases the couture and diverse fashions of the 60s in this colorful Mod New York: Fashion Takes A Trip exhibit. Starting with First Lady fashions in the early 60s and ending with New Nonchalance in the mid-70s, the exhibit shows the cultural influences on fashion and style during the Mod era.
This is a must-see exhibit for all fashion history enthusiasts. Through April 1, 2018.

Herve Leger Spring Summer 2014 Fashion Show
After the excitement of front row guest Nicki Minaj died down, the focus shifted to Hervé Léger’s SS14 collection. The fashion industry’s love affair with the Monochrome trend continues with black & white silhouettes taking centre stage. The Iconic bandage dresses were given a makeover with the addition of zippers and strategic cut-outs. The color palette was also varied with the inclusion of greys, blues and soft pinks.
The bodycon dresses had tassel and fringe embellishments giving them grace and movement. In conjunction to its image as a brand with sex appeal some other pieces featured were leather corsets and beautifully embroidered dresses with fuller skirts. Geometric patterns in black and white were also a key feature of the Hervé Léger’s SS14 collection.

20s Inspired Hairstyles On The Badgley Mischka Catwalk
The 2014 Badgley Mischka fashion show features top hair stylist Peter Gray working his magic backstage by showing viewers how to create a 20’s hairstyle. The show featured elegant 20’s hairstyles on models wearing clothes that were just as elegant and stylish. The purpose was to show that viewers could have these elegant styles themselves with just a little work and a little finesse. Gray walked through creating the hairstyle by showing how it was done on one of the models from the show. Tribal Inspiration On The Mara Hoffman Catwalk
The 2014 fashion show by designer Mara Hoffman got off to a great start with a sheer purple outfit complete with a jacket. This year’s collection consists of mostly stripes and prints that collide for an explosion of color that speak of tribal customs. From elegant beading to very colorful pants and thick shawls the models walk down the runway could not be ignored. Some of the fashions were in subdued colors but all had many patterns and designs ranging from stripes to triangles. From pink striped pantsuits to purple flowing dresses with triangles on them, this year’s fashion show delivered and then some.
